Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis), skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, bone/joint infections, middle ear infections, and certain gynecological infections.

Dosage

As directed by physician; typically one tablet twice daily with food for best absorption and GI tolerance; swallow whole with water, do not split or crush.

Side Effects & Precautions

Nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, mild rash, rarely serious allergic reaction, yeast infection, liver enzyme elevation.
Precautions: Contraindicated in allergy to cephalosporins/penicillins, severe kidney/liver dysfunction, pregnancy, breastfeeding unless advised; complete full course of therapy as prescribed, report any severe reaction (rash, breathlessness, jaundice).
